Thermon continues to focus on advancing the efficiency of Heat Trace Asset Management by making continuous improvements to the Controls & Monitoring solutions portfolio. As a part of Thermon’s Digitization initiative and our commitment to providing a great experience to our customers, we release new features/fixes on our products on a regular basis.
This release is for the latest version of the Genesis Controller firmware.
Genesis Panel (v1.7.0)
Key Features
HMI
- Improved graph and history views.
- Implemented ability to quickly go right/left in time on a graph by holding down right/left buttons.
- Added graph legends to indicate type of reading/alarms.
- Added screensaver to reduce touch screen temperature during idle times.
- Implemented ability to adjust Ground Fault Alarm delay.
Resolved Issues
- Graph markers are now statically placed at the bottom instead of being dynamically placed.
- Addressed timestamp calculations used to query data for HMI graphs.
- Fixes related to min/max graph values, button combinations, time navigation on the graph, data validation, etc.
- Addressed issue related to transient noise values while the actual current reading is zero.
- Using Limiter control method now disables low temperature alarm and heater and ground fault current alarms for that circuit.
- Improved HMI performance on higher circuit could panels.
Note: This version of the Genesis Controller firmware must be used with TraceNet Sync v1.7.0. It is not compatible with the previous versions of TraceNet Sync.

Key Features
- Added the option to set a circuit’s control type to Limiter.
- Updated the Ground Fault Samples Before Trip setting:
- Changed text for Ground Fault Samples Before Trip to read “Ground Fault Delay Before Trip(milliseconds)” to reflect the updated behavior in the DCM firmware.
- Updated the validation range for Ground Fault Samples to allow for values up to 2500ms.
Thermon highly recommends all our customers upgrade the Genesis panels in their network to the latest firmware version for enhanced experience. Please work directly with our field services or product management team to facilitate the upgrade.
